Described as David Bowie meets David Byrne at a Door's concert. Matt and Brian employ hardware and software instruments to channel the zeitgeist in a hybrid sonic sance assembled from elements of rock (classic, gothic, and indy) and electronic dance (idm, breaks, and techno). ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ .........................
Brian Copeland's Q&A : What do you like most about 'Euphonic Dissonance'? This is the first band I've ever been in that doesn't involve sitting around JAMMING. I have to say that I'm happy with that. Matt and I do our own thing seperately from one another....only to come together for concerts and album preparation. Why did you choose the Guitar, bass, keyboards, voice? I've been playing guitar since I was 8 years old. I blame Leo Kottke and my father for putting me on the path of being a guitar player. My dad was a big Kottke fan and he made me into one as well. I guess my dad was a really big musical influence on me even though he didn't possess any real musical talent himself. He just had a lot of really good records. The other instruments followed. I just couldn't leave well enough alone. I wanted to do everything. I often wonder if I could have been a better guitarist if I had concentrated on that one instrument alone. If only I had a time machine. Anything else? Brian is a guitartist by nature and an audio engineer by design. The owner of Aromatone Recording Studios and Aromatone Records, he has worked with and been influenced by many styles of music. "In the 80's I became a big fan of industrial and synth based music. When I opened the studio I realized I had the means to record and perform the type of music I always loved. The teaming with Matt was natural. We had been friends for quite awhile and he's one of the few people that can stand me for any amount of time. His musical influences were a great contrast to my own."
Here's some live show photos.
