Joel Ransom

I'm a motherfuckin role model.

About Me

I am a man in the middle.
I do musical things.
I work on advisory level for Filter Live and ANB Promotions promoting gigs and finding bands for great support slots in different sized venues in the POrtsmouth area.
(This page is only for gig promo now, if you need to conact me you can do so immediately through [email protected] or hit me on facebook)
Once a month we turn the upstairs of Drift Bar into a grotto, shroud it in candles and gay lights, give everyone a glass of champers and go live on http://www.purefm.com with artists we think deserve to be listened to in silence.
These are my favourite gigs, not only that I'm a part of, but that I've probably ever been too: the word special springs to mind.
You'll also find our gigs at The Fat Fox, on South Parade Pier and soon in three other venues new and old.
I am a partner of The Southsea Fest Team: we run a charity event operating out of Little Johnny Russels, The Wedgewood Rooms, the Fat Fox, The Atrium, One Eyed Dog, The Atrium, Wine Vaults, Citrus Cafe and The Edge of The Wedge. NEXT ONE'S ON SEPT 13th.
I work with my cousin, Lloyd, on a project called Indie Kids which is solely aimed to raise the profile of under 18 bands, djs, writers and artists. We launch with a SKINS party on July 4th.
I enjoy working alongside Mr Phil Harvey at PureFM on various projects (check out his shows on a Sunday and Monday http://www.purefm.com )
Aim is to up the game for '08
Southsea's fucking rocking again!
This is the stuff I'm a part of at the moment, check the calendar too.
For gigs or band bookings mail:
[email protected] or24/7 on the mobile email addy above or just find me on facebook
If you fancy yourself as a poet or a master of wordy wizardry have a kite at this and contact Tallie Kane on facebook or join SOuthsea page on myspaz or our facebook group
Become part of The Southsea Fest
We are warm
