LOZ BRIDGE AND THE BOX SOCIAL

About Me

Preston-born singer/songwriter Loz Bridge has made his home in Portsmouth and brought his distinctive brand of quirky-roots with him. Heavily influenced by the likes of Tom Waits and Nick Cave, Loz’s dark lyrical style has grabbed the attention of the South-Coast scene leading to recent support slots with Polly Scattergood, Karima Francis, Son Of Dave, and Yoav. His tracks have been played on BBC 6 Music, Original FM and Express FM amongst others, and he was recently featured in live sessions on BBC Radio Solent and BBC Southern Counties Radio. He is currently spreading the word along the South coast with backing band The Box Social, and the debut EP 'Witches' is available now.
"I've just musically died and gone to heaven" (Phil Jackson)
“Lolloping swanker of a track......Very nicely done it is too.” (Praise for the song "Witches")
“Come one, come all, and visit the strange looking-glass world of Loz Bridge!”
"This young man is most definitely one to watch!"
“Bridge is a blur throughout, singing and playing (guitar and keyboard) with such conviction that he holds audience attention through sheer force of will, the crowd mesmerised even through silence. This young man is certainly a talent to keep watching!”
