Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?" Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world...As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. -Marianne Williamson

Learning is one of my favorite things to do.
Always on the lookout for a great new recipe.
My favorite color is periwinkle, mostly because of the name.
I used to live in Lahaina, Maui on the Brig Carthaginian ~ a floating whale museum.
I like lavender oil in a hot bath, especially with a glass of red wine. To drink.
I collect white rocks, shells, and wine corks.
I was a bit of a wild child as a teen.
I like people, mostly all of them.
My feet and hands are my best features.
Nuf about me, what about you?
Dreamscape by Diana Dorenzo
Dream Weaving is Waling Between the Worlds. Dream is not fantasy, it is the creation of reality. The Dream is the place where ideas take shape and, if the dreamer is sufficiently skilled, they can bring the dream into Middleworld and manifest it. Below is a tree whose branches intertwine with its roots – the Celtic principle of the weaving of the Upperworld and the Lowerworld to create Middleworld.
It is an oak tree, with its roots and branches plaited together forming a circular twist which encloses the trunk of the tree. There is no beginning and no end to this twist. In the lore of the Tree of Wisdom and Tradition the branches hold Upperworld and the roots, Lowerworld. Middleworld, the place where we humans have our incarnations, is at the centre of this. At the bottom of this picture is the word ‘Duir’ which means oak. At the top is the word ‘darwent’ which probably refers to the River Darwent in Derbyshire.

You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing and dance, and write poems, and suffer, and understand, for all that is life.
J. Krishnamurti

I started going to jazz and blues clubs when I was a young dance student in Minneapolis, where I came to know some amazing musicians who taught me to open my ears. Willie Murphy, who was my main mentor, John Koerner, Prudence Johnson, Tim Sparks, Dave Ray, and...John Beach who attempted to teach me piano.

Artists who move me: Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Paul Desmond, Thelonius Monk,
Joni Mitchell, who was my first idol,
The Beatles,
"In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make" is essentially the Beatles closing statement.
It is the last lyric on the last album they recorded. Abbey Road
Dave Matthews Band, Tom Waits, Grateful Dead, Led Zepplin, Bob Dylan, Ry Cooder, Talking Heads, Maceo Parker, Ray Charles, Mark Knopfler.....
Saying that I love Dave and his band seems so trite. I am in awe of his musical and creative talent, and I journey to another world when I hear him.
I love creative souls, music that has soul, makes me want to dance, laugh and gives me tingles up and down my spine.

And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour."

My heart, queen of the beehive and the barnyard,
Little leopard of the string and the onions,
I love to watch your miniature empire
sparkle; your weapons of wax and wine and oil,
Garlic, and the soil that opens for your hands,
The blue material that ignites in your hands,
The transmigration of dream into salad,
The snake rolled up in the garden hose.
You with your sickle that lifts the perfumes,
You with the bossy soapsuds,
You climbing my crazy ladders and stairs.
You taking charge; even my handwriting, its characteristics,
Even the sand grains in my notebooks – finding in those pages
Lost syllables that were searching for your mouth.
Pablo Neruda
“A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us.
Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.†Albert Einstein
