Nabeel loves life and believes in the power of love to change, to transform, to heal and to save. He himself experienced the great power of love in his life through a miraculous healing. Nabeel understands love as simple, plain and easy to give though it is the most precious and powerful thing in life. Love, to him, is like a music that gives our life rhythm and sounds that make us more blooming and beautiful inside and out. Love is a fire that begets a vehement heat in the soul, and consumes the dross and chaff that are in it, melts it down like wax into a new form, and carries it upwards as the sparks towards God and heaven. Nabeel lived in different parts of the world as a writer, musician and translator. He plays piano, accordion and trumpet. He also likes dancing in the rain when it is stormy, for life, to him, isn't about waiting for that one storm to pass. It's about getting out there and dancing in its rain.

My Interests

Philosophy, music, dancing and poetry .
A lifetime of learning about many a thing, that doth bring us back to one word to sing, Love.....Love.....Love is all we will need for the rest of our lives and it has taken all of our lives to realize that it is the essence of this simple word that gives us the courage to go on, the strength to be strong, to conquer our fears, to dry our tears, to hold gently and feel. Oh this love so elusive to some, yet right in our hearts, we all have the capability to have love to give love to receive love, to live in love, to be in love. So why not have love always and forever wherever we go for the rest of our lives. Fear of love. Yet I say we must conquer this fear, rise above it and embrace love; so let us go forth in love sweet precious love.
"Written by Hummingbird in honor of Ludwig Haslinger"

I'd like to meet:

Those who live their life to its fullest as if there is no tomorrow. Those who appreciate that life without love worth nothing.

Some persons I'd like to meet, in no particular order, are: Placido Domingo , whose divine voice is like a prayer in our corrupt world; Fairouz , the most beloved living Arab performer, whose cascading voice has been compared to flowing rivers; Beth Levin , a pianist of rare qualities, whose elevated style, tone, sentiments of performance and heart of melodies can never be put down on paper; Christine Moore , whose warm, dark, rich voice is a straight path to seventh heaven; Maria Thompson Corley , a distinguished, gifted pianist, author and composer, whose music is a channel for God Himself to speak through and to humanity; Hummingbird , a beautiful poetess and an endless source of love, whose thoughtfulness brightens my days and touches my heart; Richard of Eire , a spiritual artist of poetic thought, whose wonderful poems are an inspiration to me; Mary Rae , an incredibly gifted composer, poet, artist, writer and translator, whose works enrich and beautify my soul; Olivia Gray , who floats my soul like a sleeping swan upon the silver waves of her sweet singing; Carol Alban , a great flutist, who uses her talents for the benefit of all God's creatures… people, birds, animals, victims of hurricanes… etc. etc. etc….

O friends, I pray tonight,
Keep not your kisses for my dead, cold brow.
The way is lonely; let me feel them now.
Think gently of me; I am travel-worn;
My faltering feet are pierced with many a thorn.
Forgive, O hearts estranged, forgive, I plead!
When dreamless rest is mine
I shall not need The tenderness for which I long tonight.
(Arabella Eugenia Smith, "If I should die tonight").
