Man is the only animal who makes pictures. All over the world primitive man, when he had killed his meat and won a little leisure, squatted down, with a charred stick or a sharp flint in his fist, to take stock of his emotions, to publish his sense of the importance of his own personality, to manifest his kinship to his Creator by some act of creation. I am a painter born in Damascus, Syria. I spend most of my time painting and making pictures of everything I see and I feel. Through my painting, I can describe whatever I may see and can therefore suggest everything that I may feel. Painting, says Fromentin, is nothing but the art of expressing the invisible by the visible. I had many galleries in Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and Turkey.
