About Me

Okultura Publishing was conceived in 1994 as a samizdat grown out of DIY spirit of counterculture. Those days we published leaflets and brochures on metaphysical anarchy, chaos magic, Tibetan shamanism and ati dzogpa chenpo (Buddhist quick path to realization). We’ve also established our website www.okultura.com as archives of anthropomagickal essays by Dariusz Misiuna, his interviews with remarkable men and women and translations of Kathy Acker’s, Hakim Bey’s, Aleister Crowley’s, Timothy Leary’s and other crazy sages transmissions. All these activities have been transformed into full-blown publishing project, when we published our first book, Polish translation of Crowley’s "Little Essays Toward Truth" in 2001. Since then we’ve published books by Austin Osman Spare, Guido von List, Anton Szandor LaVey, Robert Anton Wilson, Terence McKenna, Gerald Suster, Christopher S. Hyatt, Lon Milo DuQuette, Peter J. Carroll, Phil Hine, Camden Benares and Kerry Thornley. We are looking for other splendid authors and creative collaborators who share our belief in balance of high-quality form and content in publishing and love subversive books. Our project is still evolving. Specialization is good for insects. So we are open to all genres widening imagination and transgressing status quo of obviousness. Thus being said we organized several editions of Magickal and Experimental Films Festival in Poland and are ready to invest our energy in producing other art forms: CD’s, DVD’s, comic books, albums… who knows, maybe even translucent intergalactical spacesheep... Everything is possible!Okultura is: Dariusz Misiuna (Chief Wizard Editor), Joanna John (Design Director), Wojciech Benicewicz (Art Director), and allies from the Invisible College, Church of Fuzzy Logic, and Dr. Muto's Laboratory.
