I am pretty much an open book. What you see is what you get with me. I learned the hard way what happens when you keep your true feelings to yourself, and I refuse to compromise my principles or my sanity when it comes to something I don't believe in. In contrast, I am a very openminded person, and I believe that people should be free to express themselves without limits or restrictions. People need individuality and creativity in order to prosper. I am a very spiritual person, but I don't conform to mainstream, organized religion. My beliefs are more closely associated with being Wiccan, although I consider myself more pagan than anything. Being pagan does not mean that I don't believe in God, nor does it mean that I worship the devil. I believe in the beauty of nature, and all the secrets that it holds. I also believe that in order for someone to be spiritually whole, they must be able to embrace the positive and the negative of things because you need both to have a balance. Nature is a true example of the balance of both worlds. I practice magick, read tarot cards, work with numerology and astrology, and I am a paranormal investigator with a group known as Spirit of the Baker Investigations. I have a strong love for history, and I am the chair for the Baker Preservation Society, Inc. Our purpose is to help save the Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas. I also have a passion for literature, and as a result, I am a writer and a bibliophile. I have written several short stories, poems, and I am currently working on two novels. My bookcases are filled with books I have collected over the years. Some of them I have read, many not. I believe the best gift to give a person is a book. On a more personal note, I have been married for 17 years, and I have three teenagers. I had gastric bypass surgery on August 4, 2006, and it has been very successful.
