Perfect Wealth Formula (The Emancipated Artist)

Hello, I am Jerry Moore and welcome to the official Emancipated Artist MySpace page. That's right. I'm an artist. A painter to be specific. This site is built in conjuction with my website jeremiahmooreart.com where you can see a collection of my paintings.This MySpace page was started to network with other artists (or anyone really) who have a strong desire to pursue their passions without selling out their artistic integrity in order to earn an income. I find that I produce better art when I don't feel the pressure to please a buyer. I am free to paint whatever I feel like painting. I will say that I believe it entirely possible to earn a decent living soley by selling art. One of the down sides of the art world is the gallery system. Years ago the galleries were charging on average 30% commision on the sale of paintings. Now it's hard to find one that takes less than 40%, and 50% is even more common. It just seems like alot of money to be giving away. There is a current trend to give so much more credit to curators and galleries that they get more recognition than the artists. Not that galleries don't desrve a commission. They do after all present your work to the market. But imagine if you could present yourself to the market and keep 100% of your profit. I recently read an article in ART IN AMERICA that talked about how many asian artists are starting to market themselves and are doing extremely well with it. The troubleis that artists (painters especially) are typically recluses. Marketing can require people skills that many artists are uncomfortable using. But what if there was another way to marekt yourself that didn't require all of that? I would like to introduce everyone to Perfect Wealth Formula
