I'm Latosha and Thanks for stopping by MY SPACE!

I am the creator of latoshatate.com & coach of professional speakers.

I created this profile because I've developed a true appreciation for Networking and what's Myspace is really about.   This wasn't an automatic thing for me. Everyone was raving about it, but I thought it was a dating site for teens or some kind crazy nesting place. Okay, you probably thought the same thing at one point too J So, I kind of tipped around for a while first, looking at other peoples pages but never creating one myself.   Now you can't keep me off. With the vision that God has given me for my life, it's important that I meet people and develop friendship. The scope goes so far beyond the borders of little OHIO.   I'm evolving. I have to share with you my story and how I went from the " all I need is job security" point to "God has so much for me that my job couldn't possibly fund it all".  

 

I am a business woman by profession but a mom, wife, dreamer, shopper, board game champion (no one can beat me in Monopoly, Catch Phrase, or Mancala), traveler, life learner, personal developer, and a lover of Christ by PASSION.

 

Abundant Life to me… More than $$$

I'm all about working smart not hard, spending time with my family, and living the abundant life. Abundant life to me is having FREEDOM.

·           That's time freedom

o    I have 3 little ones (5, 2, and 6 months) who love to play the same games and read the same books over and over again. I mean that takes time—trust me. LOL.

o    My husband loves music. Between concerts, listening to the latest CD that he just bought and going to his gigs. I mean that could be at least a Part-time job.

o    I told you that I'm a business woman too. I have my MBA, a J.O.B, church stuff, and all the friends that I mentor, support, and give marketing advice. I work for a college with inner city youth for a private college, create scholarship and "how to pay for college" seminars, coach public speakers,   and maintain all of my online business.

§   You may be saying "THAT's TOO MUCH" but it's my time so I've just gotta do like Denzel Washington said on Oprah and The Great Debaters "do what you gotta do, so you can do what you wanna do" Right?

§   And besides, all of that is done on my schedule and I love it all! See it's easy to do what you love.==> my kids, husband, helping people, make money ALL PLUSES J

·            Freedom in my mind

o    Okay this one hasn't happened overnight. But, after doing things for the approval or applause of others all of my life, being in business for myself has given me a new found confidence.  

o    Having peace is something that you can't put a dollar value on.   And this one ties three ways;   my relationship with God , finding a mentor who was non-partial but would push me to step outside of my comfort zones to reach my goals and not the goals that he thought were best for me, and in doing what I love and getting paid for that. Working for my self in an industry where many people need guidance and aren't really making money. Networking isn't easy if you're doing it the HARD WAY!

·          Financial Freedom

o    This one is pretty funny too. Now, I work a job that I really enjoy but it won't allow me to be "free" until I'm about 67 years old.   I'm only 28 right now.   That's toooooo long!

o    So, I have the best of both worlds. A job that I like and a business that I love.  

o    My husband and I don't have to fight over money anymore.   We can get our kids what they need and a lot of what they want.   We don't live in a mansion yet but we do enjoy life and have lots to look forward to & be thankful for.

I've found true direction through my life's experiences, I'm having lots of FUN, I'm making plenty of $$, and I love helping people. My mentors have taken the time to help me develop as a person, with my business, and showed me ways make my life much easier (this Web 2.0 stuff--It's REAL. Free & Life altering!).
