It is my life mission to uplift, inspire, and be an agent of change for as many individuals as possible.
Â
Through my current book project, "Generation Excellent" A Cure for The Common Kid and The Family Empowerment Institute, I believe that I will revolutionize the way that ideas, values, skills, and habits are passed from one generation to the next. I believe that countless lives will be enriched and transformed as a result of my work.I have discovered a need within society and it is up to me to satisfy that need.
Â
I have long had a passion for writing as well as personal development and personal development coaching. I began writing in elementary school and my study of success and personal development in 1994. I have been writing, coaching and sharing ever since.Through my numerous encounters with others, I have come to understand that effective communication is the first law of effective mentor-ship.
Â
I was a Program Director for the Professional Education Institute, formerly Franklin Covey Coaching/Legacy Learning. However, I have moved on from The PEI to pursue what I know to be my life mission.Â
While at The PEI, I was involved in the testing and development of the Jack Canfield’s "Success Principles Coaching".Â
I had the distinct privilege of enrolling the very first student into Jack Canfield’s coaching program and received the first success letter from that same student.Â
I was recognized by The PEI and Mr. Canfield as a Top Enrollment Specialist for 2005 having spent the majority of that year interviewing potential students for the Success Principles coaching program. It was during one such interview that I had an epiphany that would change the course of my life and my focus for the future.Â
More important than any career success however has been my success as a husband and father. I truly believe that no success in the world can compensate for failure in the home. As a father and husband, I have succeeded in breaking a generational cycle that has been passed on in my family for more than a hundred years. I have had the courage to stare fate in the eyes and take back the future of my family.Â
I am a husband and a father of two boys and two girls (Asher, Caleb, Lila, and Clarie). I am a Latter Day Saint (or try to be as best I can). I am an American. I am a Conservative. I am a personal development coach. I am a speaker, teacher, and an educator. I'm an author and a writer. I am a reader - I own alot of books. I am an amazing cook!!! (Ask anyone who has sampled my culinary works of art.) I am an investor. I'm a musician. I am an actor and singer. I'm a recovering emo kid. I believe that people get out of life whatever they are willing to settle for. As for me, I have settled for winning?Â

The Two Choices We Face
Â
Each of us has two distinct choices to make about what we will do with our lives. The first choice we can make is to be less than we have the capacity to be. To earn less. To have less. To read less and think less. To try less and discipline ourselves less. These are the choices that lead to an empty life. These are the choices that, once made, lead to a life of constant apprehension instead of a life of wondrous anticipation. And the second choice? To do it all! To become all that we can possibly be. To read every book that we possibly can. To earn as much as we possibly can. To give and share as much as we possibly can. To strive and produce and accomplish as much as we possibly can. All of us have the choice. To do or not to do. To be or not to be. To be all or to be less or to be nothing at all. Like the tree, it would be a worthy challenge for us all to stretch upward and outward to the full measure of our capabilities. Why not do all that we can, every moment that we can, the best that we can, for as long as we can? Our ultimate life objective should be to create as much as our talent and ability and desire will permit. To settle for doing less than we could do is to fail in this worthiest of undertakings. Results are the best measurement of human progress. Not conversation. Not explanation. Not justification. Results! And if our results are less than our potential suggests that they should be, then we must strive to become more today than we were the day before. The greatest rewards are always reserved for those who bring great value to themselves and the world around them as a result of who and what they have become. ~ Jim RohnÂ
