I’ve been playing music and recording albums for over 20 years. My past bands include The Watchmen, Perfect Circle, Dharma Bums (PopLlama/Frontier) and Pilot (Mercury/Elektra). The latest CD is called Independence Vol. 1: demos and out-takes. Spanning the genres of folk, blues, gospel and rock, I wanted to share with folks different types of music I make and also show how viable any type of recording format can be. This is one album put together from unreleased recordings I used many different recorders including a cassette 4-track, multiple digital programs and there’s even one song from a 24 track 2" session.
I’m now free from a previous label commitment with Mercury Records, so I self-produced the new album as a celebration of creative freedom. Released on my record label MastanMusic the albums title is exactly what it implies; a scrapbook collection of some of the best collaborations and solo demos from over the years.
I am very excited about the Podcast that I am producing.
