AtmAsfera

The name of the band consists of: “atma” – “personality” in translation, and “sfera” – something which surrounds a personality. This title says that something which surrounds a personality - his internal world, feeling and problems. Each concert is really an event for band’s musicians where they express themselves completely to create “atmosphere" of understanding with listeners, apart from it, they are always demanding to the quality of the sound and arrangement of their songs. The history of the band started not in Lvov where most of musicians come from, but in the southern town of Simeiz in 2003. In 2 years “AtmAsfera” moved to Kiev where Sasha Goncharuk and Andrey Cherkasov jointed them and also a new drummer, Timur Gogitidze, plays with them for the last two years.
Concerts and festivals
“Chervona Ruta - 2005” – was one of the first and most significant ones (they played in art-rock style, prize seat). It was the only rock band which came through to the next tour at selection tour on “Eurovision-2006”. The band became the finalist of “Musical Island” on spring 2006. At the same time there was a concert tour in Kiev, Lvov, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and Crimea. Then they took part in “Ethno Evolution”, charity concert organized by Rosava, “Kupala Holiday ..obrat” and Ternopol “Nivroku” in October. The largest events of this year were their performances on international festivals “Woodstock” (July 2006, Poland, Kostshin) and “The Global Battle of the Bands” (October, 1st place at Kiev selection tour and 4th - at National Ukrainian one). Some of the following performances in 2007: “Ethno Evolution-2007” (May, Kosmach), “Mazepa-Fest” (June, Poltava), again “Woodstock” in Poland (July, 300 000 listeners!), performance at international festival “CrossDrumming” (August, Warsaw), concert devoted to 750th anniversary of a famous rock town of Yarotsyn (September, Poland), “Ethno seasons” (October, Kiev) and victory at National Ukrainian selection of “The Global Battle of the Bands” (November). Then solar concerts at House of Artist and Kyevo-Mogylyanska Academy (November, Kiev), International final of “The Global Battle of the Bands” (December, London, 4th prize seat!), festival of authentic music “Rostoki” (December, Chernigov), charity concert for children (December, Evpatoriya). Year 2008 has been started with a concert on the "motherland”, in Lvov Philharmonics, and in December – victory at the contest of the largest network of musical equipment “Muztorg”. In March – concert in Simferopol and performance at “Woma’n’roll fest” in Kiev, and in April – tour on Eastern Ukraine which we started with a concert in Kiev along with a theater-musical performance. Then several concerts and performances at festivals in Warsaw (”Ethno Cross” and “Ursus”) (April), solo concert in Lviv, celebration performances for Kiev Day at Chrechatik (May), “Country of Dreams”! on Spivoche Pole in Kiev and “Trypilske kolo”! in Rzishiv in the suburbs of Kiev (June)...
