About Me

Since 1991 Women Writing for (a) Change has supported the lives of women and girls for whom writing is, or might become, an important spiritual, creative and therapeutic practice. Women and girls, ages 8-93 have attended semester classes, weekend and week-long writing retreats, and Saturday theme classes in which they experience the inspiration and safety created by expert teacher-facilitators, and a vibrant, hospitable container for evoking what is theirs to tell.
The Women Writing for (a) Change Foundation promotes the accessibility of Women Writing for (a) Change programs to a wider and more diverse audience through its outreach programs and by scholarships for women and girls to attend WWf(a)C classes.

Our Feminst Leadership Academy of Cincinnati gathers women committed to making their businesses, church communities, faculties, activist (and other organizations) healthier, more peaceful, and life-encouraging.

DID YOU KNOW …
You can treat yourself to THREE weekend writing retreats (for women only) during 2008. Begin anew with a New Year Retreat, Jan. 4-6th. Celebrate Spring May 2-4th. Welcome the splendor of Fall Sept. 26-28th. Choose one – or all three! All retreats are held at St. Anne's Moye Spiritual Center in Northern Kentucky – just 15 mins. from downtown Cincinnati. Want to hear what we've been writing? Open-House Read-arounds are the time to welcome visitors to our writing circle. You'll get a peek at how a class operates and hear a sampling of some of our writing. The snacks are great and it's all FREE! Check our website for dates and times.
Longing for a LONG stretch of writing time? The Week-long Summer Writing Retreat is for you! In the sacred space of Knobs Haven, on the grounds of the Sisters of Loretto in Nerinx, KY, women gather to write and share their writing, rest, walk the lush countryside, swim, and be refreshed. Tuition includes meals, lodging, and classes held lovingly by an experienced teacher/writer. Check our website for more information.
SAMPLERS: Curious about what we do at WWFAC? Come and see! Men and women are welcome at our FREE Creative Writing SAMPLERS, every third Saturday, 1-2:30 pm. No experience necessary. Just call 513-272-1171 to reserve a space.

LOOKING TO CRAFT a collection of poetry – or a piece of fiction or non-fiction? "Crafting Prose or Poetry" is for you! This class is focused on moving a piece or collection of pieces toward completion. To sign up, go to our website.
