I’m Good Enough for Me! recounts one woman’s personal journey to self-acceptance. After years of struggling with her own body-image demons, McCarley recognized the flaws were not hers. Instead, she realized society’s unrealistic standards of the “ideal” womanly shape and size were unhealthy and unattainable for the average female. Rather than surrender in shame by failing one crazy fad diet after another, McCarley turned the tables and launched a revolutionary new way of thinking about herself. Like so many other young women I struggled with body image for most of my life. After I became a mother something inside of me changed. I vowed to do whatever I could to make a change in the way young girls value themselves in today's shallow, vain, and materialistic society. After much soul serching I decided to write a book about my experiences and how I learned to love myself and embrace the body that God blessed me with.
