Writing can be a daunting task, not to mention a
terrible chore, for those to whom it might not come
naturally. Many writers, from those who genuinely
enjoy writing for its own sake to those who write only
for business purposes, would prefer not to fuss over
quirky grammatical rules or worry about common
spelling errors.
It is surprising how many examples of improper
spelling or grammar that occur everywhere from
high-profile signs and advertisements to academic and
corporate publications and websites. Poorly or
clumsily written instructions, forms, applications,
manuals, reports, internal documents, memos, business
letters, and press releases cost readers time and
force them to struggle, as well as promoting confusion
among customers and/or employees.
Take some of the stress out of the writing process by
hiring a freelance proofreader whose fresh look and
experienced pen will help you produce a better-quality
body of writing. Make sure your writing reflects well
on you or your company.
[ SERVICES ]
I provide freelance proofreading for corporate copy,
websites, fiction and non-fiction pieces, academic
essays, articles, and more. My services are aimed at
anyone, from small businesses to students to
self-publishing authors to freelancers.
[ DOCUMENT RETURN OPTIONS ]
I prefer that you not mail me a document, but instead
email me a file containing your text or copy. I can
return the edited text to you in one of two ways:
* Electronically -- This method is highly preferred. I
will simply edit electronically and email back the
document with the changes. In this case, I edit a
document using the "Track Changes" feature in
Microsoft Word.
* On Paper -- I can print out your document, edit the
hard copy by hand, and mail the manuscript back to
you, which means that you will have to review the
changes, decide upon the ones you like, and enter them
into the document yourself.
[ FEES ]
Fees vary depending on the project. Please email me
for a time-table and price estimate (include a copy of
the document), which I can most often provide within
24 hours. I do not charge by the hour, but rather by
the length of the project, the degree of work that the
project seems to need (minor corrections will be less
expensive than a piece of work or copy that needs a
major overhaul), and the method of return you select.
I think you will find that my pricing is quite
competitive. Rush jobs will be more expensive.
[ PAYMENT AND PROCESS ]
I accept PayPal payments. This way, you can either
deduct funds directly from a bank account or use a
credit card. It also provides a record of
transactions.
The process is generally as follows: email me your
project, letting me know about the level of editing
desired (Basic Copy Editing, Basic Proofreading, or
Comprehensive Editing), type of return (Electronic or
On Paper; if On Paper, also let me know what shipping
you need), and any additional information. I will
reply with a quote of both time needed to complete
your project and the price, most often within 24
hours. If you need the project done more quickly than
my estimate, this may be possible without additional
charge, or may involve a small additional fee. After a
price and time-frame has been agreed upon, we're ready
to go.
(To Make a PayPal Payment: sign in to, or create, your
PayPal.com account; click on the "Send Money" tab;
enter my e-mail address (I will provide you with the
correct one) in the first field to identify me as the
recipient; enter the amount, currency (US Dollars),
category of purchase (Service), and an optional
subject and note if you like.)

All projects are completed with complete
confidentiality, and I can assure you the utmost
integrity in my business practices and in my
commitment to provide you with services of the highest
