WINNERS OF 4 THE RECORD!

About Me

Brought up on a plethora of musical genres, kilto take's pumping bass riffs, tribal drums and melancholic undertones serve up an infectious melodic array of tunes that just grow and grow.Fine tuning their individual talents, this four piece band came together to cure their musical itch and showcase their very own brand of music. Still writing and working hard at putting together their debut ep, kilto take has already sparked a wealth of interest amongst its peers and is set to hit the ground running.Watch this space!

What people have said:
This band are outstanding live. What an accomplished sound for a group just starting out! Their first performance truly captivated the entire audience that were left wanting more and more. Brilliant!

kilto take's punchy pop tunes instantly hushed the onlooking crowd, drawing them into a submissive state that resulted in an explosion of applause after each song, that only intensified throughout the set. Reminiscent of early U2 with a smidge of Bloc Party thrown in for good measure, this band really banged out their songs to a jam packed venue...and by the last song had people dancing on their chairs! Definitely ones to watch in 2008!

First visit to Esquires and a good reception for talented quartet Kilto Take. Unbelievably, this is only their third gig...and it's a great effort! They speak of the honour of appearing on Level 2 and the crowd, who are naturally unfamiliar with the lads, reciprocate their enthusiasm. In fact, one of their songs, 'Captured On Polaroid' was only completed this week. It was performed superbly, as a band they remind me of Doves. High Octane with both sweet and mellow lyrics.

Its the harmonies that make Kilto Take stand out. At first they sounded much more complicated than the earlier bands but their sheer musicianship soon made listening easy and singing along almost obligatory even though I didn't know most of the songs, a shortfall I'm already addressing.

The biggest problem with this band is that they are so modest. Please lads, you are good! The songs slip effortlessly into place and there is a consumate air of ease in both their performance and their stage demeanour. 'Holding the Enemy' is the perfect opener - solid and dependable, it hooks everyone. It contrasts with 'Different Side' which just brings out the wild Friday feeling in us all. When a time out is required Kilto Take oblige with a very dreamy tune. In fact, Kilto Take just invite me for a coach ride around paradise and don't ask for the fare!

Kilto take are one of my favourite bands and not just because they made me a Kilto Kelly badge! They are ALL amazing performers, you can't look away when they are on stage! Live they are outstanding! Their sound is fast, exciting, enjoyable and makes you want them to get back in to the studio and record more! Watch this space... seriously!!

The Bedfordshire quartet have obviously been garnering quite the following in their home town. And deservedly so. They have the charm of The Futureheads and the melodies of Maximo Park. Planet Sound - teletext - rates KILTO TAKE 7/10.
