Brothers…Jon (singer) and Adam (drummer) have been creating music since they were able, “about two Months ago then,†Lloyd (lead guitar) jokes. Jon reminisces; “I used to get Adam to come in, record some drum beats, then I’d say right you can go now,†laughing, Adam joins in “I used to go into his room, he’d say I want that drum and that drum and this beat, then he’d make me leave and I used to listen through the doorâ€. Adam continues, “When we got to the age that it was no longer un-cool to talk to your brother we realised we had something in common.†The link between them is undeniable and without there connection as brothers none of this would have been possible.
Next up we have Pepe (base guitar), born in Switzerland where the music scene is almost non existent. She moved from the mountains to Brighton to become a rock star and to fulfil her love for music, and “her love for men!†Lloyd yet again adds. “My whole family are artistic, either painters or musicians. I have been playing since I was four†Pepe shares. “Strange you haven’t picked it up better than you have really!†Adam says with sarcasm. With a striking black dress, eye catching tattoos and a witty attitude, Pepe ensures the band doesn’t follow the conventional four guys in a row set up. “I am an intelligent person, but I am not able to function in society, I can’t function in anything else other than music,†Pepe reveals her passion.
“You’re saving the best till last†Lloyd again…how did you guess? Lloyd has been part of the band for less than a year, although his young fingers were strumming his dad’s guitar as soon as he could pick it up. As a boy he listened to his dad’s records including; Dire Straits, Pink Floyd and The Beatles…which may explain his perfectionist nature towards music and a remarkable skill for playing by ear. Adam says with a more serious tone, “Until Lloyd came along we were two days away from giving up forever.†“We had to kindly tell our old guitarist to leave, he nearly destroyed us, very frustrating†Jon admits.
