About Me

1994: Patrick Scherrer and Timothée Barrelet found their first band, «Sad Salads» (what a name) who will later become «Illusion Perdue?». In 1997, this band's first and last album, «un pied devant l'autre», is recorded at Studio Relief, Switzerland. 1998: Patrick and Timothée decide to found a new band, Magnetfisch. In summer 2001, they record «Fruchtkönig» at luce studios. The following year, Rolf Althaus joins in as a bass guitar player. The band is then signed by Heiri Dürst (CEO VSM) for his label Helvetic Production. Their second album, "Silence Fiction", is recorded at luce studios in 2003. Seline Kunz, discovered by Heiri Dürst in 1999, becomes the band's singer in 2004. Release of the new single "Botox": 2005

Common sense and a planet

While in a pub after rehearsal on Thursday, we discussed about the meaning of life. Since this can be a feature-length subject, drinks and ice cream were indispensable. I agree with my band mates that...

Anger and a landscape

On our way to a festival in Gempen last Saturday, the landscape changed all of a sudden when we left the grey but practical monotony of the motorway for lush green hills. I must admit that while it wa...

Summer in April

There is hope. A seemingly simple phrase, written on a poster depicting a cliffy shore and a lighthouse. Yet to me, this means more than a mere "motivator" commonly found in offices. Because hope is a...
