Beyond The Horizon - An AATT Homage

The street organ plays down every road...

About Me

'Beyond the Horizon' is an uncommercial unfolding compilation of musical ideas from And Also The Trees themes with the use of various styles and approaches.
The project initally started in 2002 on the AATT mailing list. The idea was to give people a platform to share their homage to the works of AATT with their creative inventions and words.
Since 2004 the project is carried on within AATT Untangled where all featured songs are published free for download. So far there had been a total of nineteen contributions. Additional songs from exciting artists are in preperation potentially to join from horizon to beyond the horizon.
This tribute is about the challenge to merge the participant's unique style and ideas into an AATT song. Thus everyone contributing is encouraged for newly arranged versions, different instrumentations or voice acting, up to totally inventing approaches while some spirit of the original should still be felt.
Any artist or band formation may also contribute more than one song (which a few did) with one song chosen to be featured for download at a given time.
To join the project every participant is asked to have some personal words to explain their connection to the AATT, to the particular track and the approach chosen for their interpretaton.
With this agenda any song featured on 'Beyond The Horizon' was specially recorded from the artists as a homage to AATT; for the meaning of their music have to them and to try to give the songs some new aspects they thought would be interesting to explore.
For more information, to find all featured contributions and to download the songs please head for:
AATT Untangled
You're invited to support this project with your feedback to each song at this place and at the particular BTH Forum at AATT Untangled where full artists' information can be found as well.
This is an open-end project. Any enthusiastic artist or band interested to join with an exciting AATT interpretation is still very welcome!
If you're not familiar with AATT you might like to check some original songs on the And Also The Trees Fans myspace site or listen to a few live tracks of 'On Luminous Nights' on AATT Untangled. If you like the works of AATT please support the band by buying their wonderful releases.
We very much appreciate your comments and feedback!
Please don't post any advertisements utterly disjointed to this project or the participating artists (which will be deleted anyway). Thanks.
