.......................... I have been playing hand drums and percussion for 14 years. Beginning as a freestyler i played with various musicians in Somerset area, including Pond Life and the talented guitarist Glynn Harris. At around that time i bought myself a drum kit and proceeded to learn at home, playing to favourite CDs - mostly afro-beat. Next was a recording project with Neil Holt and Matt Fellows which is referred to as the Jay, Matt and Jaia project, for which i was the drummer and backing vocalist. Next Matt and I embarked on an offshoot project with some other local musicians, before joining Peace by Piece as a percussionist. I’ve done occasional guest appearances with various artists usually playing djembe before joining Car Boot Soul who i played with for a couple of years as drummer/percussionist.Kufamba (Jay’s project) have done a few recordings with me on drums. I did some percussion and singing with Glass Roots, the name i gave to a folk duo with David Unwin (www.myspace.com/franticfolk) which produced Dragonfly, which we co-wrote, plus a few other songs. I am currently recording an album comprising songs i have written over the last year or so, this project promises to be the best musical project of my life so far. .........................
