Fiddlers Green Festival

SUNDAY 20TH - SUNDAY 27TH JULY, 2008

About Me

The Fiddler’s Green Festival is an established annual international celebration of Irish music, arts and culture which takes place in the scenic village of Rostrevor, Co. Down, Northern Ireland.
The strength of the festival lies in the wealth of community involvement. It is more than just a music festival, spanning over 200 varied events. All musical tastes are catered for (folk, blues, country, classical...), with lunchtime, early evening and night time folk clubs. There are free outdoor ceilis, an open air stage, art exhibitions, walks, workshops, children's entertainment and the ever-popular literary pub crawl, with the emphasis on 'literary' rather than 'crawling'.
Each year the Festival bestows two special awards; the Hall of Fame Award which celebrates lifelong achievement in Irish Music, and the Creative Arts Award which acknowledges achievements in the Arts and Literary fields.
