play-acting anarchists and mummy's little skinheads

About Me

This is a night for people who like musicians that sing about stuff that matters, and people who talk about the things that matter. Probably it's more politicised than political. It's run by people who love many forms of socially conscious expression and want to bring all the different scenes into contact with each other. It's punk, reggae, hip-hop, folk, hardcore, comedy, poetry - as long as it's engaging with this fucked up and sometimes lovely world we live in. It's for people who like to dance and think. For people who think music, poetry AND comedy can all be as downright punk as it wants to be. A humble effort to resist scenes, cliques and tribalism; to unite people through ideas rather than aesthetics. It's all DIY too! And, we hope, a lot of fun.

Run whenever we can anywhere we can, and everyone is welcome. Want us to put out your fliers for you? Any book/music/film recommendations? Got a room spare for a few hours for us to put on a show? And importantly, if you want to play one of our nights then get in touch - any bands, comics or poets interested in independent culture, politics, society, punk rock, DIY culture and autonomy: we want to hear from you. Myspace us or email us at [email protected]. Unfortunately, we're not really putting on hardcore shows at the mo because there's already tons of cracking nights like that in london and we're trying to do something slightly different. Not that we don't love our hardcore! anyway... here's our previous gigs:
