About Me

.. Excerpt from Official Biography
What is punk rock these days? Any one flick read through your favourite scene-zine and you could count dozens of different portraits of what a 'punk rock band' is - what they're supposed to play like, sing like and, of course, look like. The term punk rock has become the musical equivalent of an electron, somehow always there but not there. A hazy mystery that gets harder to find the more you search for it.
The Lucky Scars are not about exhibiting punk rock cliches, which is just as well really. All three members come from nice, suburbian backgrounds free from broken homes, drug addiction and Nancy Spungen. They have never squatted, had mohawks nor owned a single record by 'The Gonads'. They have never fucked the system, destroyed the passer by nor contributed to the killing of hippies. Sometimes they even play shows acoustic.
However The Lucky Scars play punk rock precisely because they play songs they write and love and don't give a fuck. Having shared the stage since April 07/08 with bands ranging from metalcore to folk-punk to Bloc Party, The Lucky Scars simply require that anything they write, record and play must be true to themselves.
Isn't that what punk rock was always supposed to be?
