About Me

Hi, I'm an inside look at an animated "LIVE" action (this is just the first of many contradictions in this film)in the Bakshee tradition, about the epic adventures of a couch potato named Stanley and his real and imagined journeys in a world populated by a shrew, a salmon, and a styrofoam container of takeout that changes the universe forever. You may never look at calamari the same way again! Or for that matter... REALITY! ___________________________________________________________ Ok. Just imagine Ralph Bakshee, Woody Allen, Eugene O'neil, and Tim Burton making a REALLY low budget movie together and you get the general idea! And before anyone who's seen any of the footage can point this out: denying the influences of Terry Gilliam and Samuel Beckett would be pointless so I'm crediting them right now for any especially demented elements (uh... influence) upon this film.

My Interests

Take out, Salmon, Fish and Chips, Arsenic, Aquaculture, murder, music, going against the flow, and calamari. We also have an interest in the works of H.P. Lovecraft which have in a "small" way had a tentacle (uh tentative) influence on this film.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone and everyone who wants to see a really unusual life changing indie film AS it is made and evolves from concept to film festival cult classic. If you too are sick of cookie cutter cgi formulaic slop then this is the revolutionary low budget bit of soul feeding weirdness that might just restore your faith in film and the almost lost art of animation!Or you could just see it because it's weird!______________________________________________________ ____ Please take a look at my friend Film Ladd's feature-length animated movie Flatland ! He has a Special Collector's Limited Edition DVD, signed and personally numbered, now available at www.flatlandthefilm.com

Music:

ToXiC WaStE, Chuk Cooley and more big up and comers... coming soon!*That is: The bands, and individuals who contributed music to this twisted tale of reality lost, found, and discarded as inconvenient:

Movies:

(See Television for the sad truth) However: dispite Margaret's objections there are a couple movies: FLATLAND (Directed by Ladd Ehlinger) and SLEEPING WITH THE COHOE'S (currently in production, and this film by the way) Wizards (STanley doesn't understand it but likes it anyway), Heavy Metal (Margaret would never let him listen to such decadent music), Woody Allen (Finally STanley has found someone more depressed than him), Monty Python and the Holy Grail (The idea of going on a trip, never mind a quest fascinates STanley) and Little Shop of Horrors (1960), NOT the awful remake (Stanley imagines Margaret wandering into Mushniks flower shop late at night,if you know what we mean)!

Television:

Only watches nature (animal and fishing) channels. Except when his remote gets stuck on that stupid music channel with the secret hidden messages embedded in the music meant only for Stanley. Although it is rumored that he occasionally watches Monty Python (with the sound turned way down) when Margaret goes to bed early.

Books:

Reading would only expand Stanley's mind so his wife margaret discourages it. God help her if he ever realized what his life was really like.

Heroes:

Stanley Cohoe. Anyone who can survive 20 years in the hell that is his marriage is surely the greatest human being alive! Let us sing his mighty praises! Let's face it, he's practically a SUPERHERO. Couch Potato Man!

Hear music from the movie!

You can now begin to see and hear just how wonderfully demented this film is going to be. Just go to any of the characters from the films profiles or the films page or even the directors page and hear...
