About Me

Eclectic jazz-pop chanteuse, Kiki Ebsen has a warm, relaxed, personal style of delivery that lets an audience know they're about to experience and be a part of a wonderful musical celebration. Her fans worldwide singing her praises including British DJ, Steve Quirk of "Fusion Flavors" smooth jazz show, who says "Kiki Ebsen is a sleeping giant in contemporary music... who deserves to be heard". Kiki released two CDs last year. The first, entitled Kiki, was produced by Grammy winning producer, Paul Brown. It's a collection of her shimmering, jazz-infused originals as well as a few well-rendered cover tunes. One of the gems on this CD is a song that her father, the late actor Buddy Ebsen, wrote called "Missing You. When A&E's Biography recently paid tribute to him, Kiki sang this lovely ballad in his honor. Her other release “Introducing Kiki Ebsen” is a collection of her favorite cover songs rearranged in her own unique style which is now available in Southeast Asia on S2S Records. Kiki has two other CDs as well. "Love Loud", is "about as close to perfect as any recording can get" according to Les Reynolds at Indie Music.com. It also made The Muse's Muse Top 10 list of favorite records of 2002. Her first CD, "Red", features classic performances by Boney James and is (according to Beth Lewis of Mac Report), "the kind of debut most artists can only dream of creating". Kiki has already performed at the Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival this year, and is scheduled to perform at the Temecula Music and Wine Festival and the Waikaloa Music Festival in Hawaii. Her music is featured on multiple compilations in Germany, Switzerland, Southeast Asia and the US. Kiki is proud to have written the song, “Turquoise Street” for sax newcomer Jessy J's debut CD on Peak Records. Kiki also played keyboards on four of the tracks. Often sought after for her unique vocal sound and blend, Kiki's harmonies were featured last year on Peter White's CD “Déjà vu”. Whether singing or playing, Kiki's approach to music is like that of a fine artist. Her variety sounds are the palette of colors from which she creates sonically refreshing paintings unique to each song. Her combined musical talents have allowed her to work with some of the best-known musical headliners in the world on tour and on TV, including Chicago, Christopher Cross, Al Jarreau, Boz Scaggs and Michael McDonald. Recently, she toured Europe with Tracy Chapman then came home to join Carnie and Wendy Wilson's band where she handled the Chynna Phillips vocal role on the Wilson/Phillips hits. Along with the busy demands of her solo career, Kiki still performs regularly with Carnie and Wendy Wilson and Christopher Cross. She is also a member of the Colin Hay Band (Men at Work)Some other fun facts about Kiki:*Graduated from California Institute of the Arts with a BFA-vocal performance.*Alice Cooper was her favorite band in high school.*Worked as an offstage keyboardist for the group Chicago*Nuts about animals and all of her pets are rescues.*Volunteers for the L.A.
