Guitarist Linda Taylor may be best known for her work on ABC TV’s "Whose Line Is It Anyway?†hosted by Drew Carey. As one-half of the “bandâ€, Linda and keyboardist Laura Hall instantly provide improvised music in support of the stellar cast, which includes Greg Proops, Wayne Brady, Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie. “Whose Line†is currently in syndication and can be seen nightly on ABC’s Family Channel.
A native of Southern California, Linda started playing the guitar at age 4, and though she had several teachers early on and participated in school programs, is primarily self-taught. After years of performing locally, mostly on the R&B circuit, Linda began touring heavily with jazz saxophonist Kirk Whalum. Highlights include a performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival with special guests Monty Alexander and Wallace Roney. World tour credits include Tracy Chapman's "Smoke and Ashes" tour, a gig that spanned several years in the mid '90s. Later, getting back to her R&B roots, Linda joined domestic tours with a variety of singers, including Thelma Houston, Vesta Williams, Chante Moore, and Jesse Powell, performing at the Image Awards with Jesse and Chante in 1999. In 1997 and 1999, Linda also toured with Japanese superstar Namie Amuro; in a band that included Carlos Rios and Sheila E.
In 2001 Linda released “PULSEâ€, an acid-jazz groove-fest featuring her guitar work and compositions. PULSE is available at CDBaby.com, iTunes, and all major online retailers.
Driven by the events and policies post-September 11, Linda formed her R&B band, Threshold , and released the galvanizing Sum Blues, a politically and socially charged work. Sum Blues is Linda’s debut as a lyricist, and features guest performances by Keb’ Mo’, and the lead vocals of Angela Carole Brown . Threshold has been a featured artist at Amoeba Music, Indie-Music.com, Eartaste, and Real Blues Magazine.
Branching into film composing, Linda scored several movies, including director Judy Minor’s debut “Anatomy of a Breakupâ€, starring Kate Walsh and Chris Bauer.

This is, of course, the brilliant Wayne Brady doing his thing. Nope, you can't see me or Laura Hall in this one, but does it really matter?
Colin breakdances in this one...it's worth the price of admission.
