About Me

Following his 2006 debut release, Yet2B, Larry Saklad has been performing regionally in assorted venues and showcases, both in support of those songs and new writing. This year brings us another collection of fresh recordings, all relating to finding peace in a decidedly unpeaceful place, thus the name- MasterPeace.
As accomplished, both on piano and guitar, Larry’s songs reflect an interplay of each instrument weaving counterpoint against the other. His songwriting source of inspiration alternately hi-lights one, yet this focus shifts throughout the collection and within each song.
His singing also has shifted, earlier known for his plaintive raw passion, he pushes it with gentler intensity, and we find the occasional harmony refreshing. "Oh Philadelphia" articulates dynamic contrast vocally, along with "My Manns-n-me", while "Lately Girl" woos us in baritone.
Contrasts abound, with plenty of keyboard textures and electric/ acoustic guitars and drums, all providing support for an ever-changing pallet of song genre. From full-on rock anthems to acoustic ballads and funky-folk pop, Saklad crafts thoughtful and catchy insight on our world, in the light of redefining what is reality/ illusion, as in "What If". Ultimately, truth lies within our relationship with each other, the subject well presented in these songs. And he doesn’t avoid God and holiness as relates to the mindset of peace.
Some may say,"Peace sounds kind of boring," but experiencing Larry Saklad’s art is anything but...

dude your music sounds like lennon
very cool

Sounds Like: Described as both urgent and accessible, Yet2B's Larry Saklad merges elements of timeless acoustic rock, painting landscapes of heartfelt observations and questions, with brit-pop sensibility and smoky folk-blues, as uniquely fresh as it is uncannily familiar. One moment- brash, angular and edgy, the next- surveying ancient ruins in subdued melancholy, he infuses all our dreams of a better life with hope and faith in possibility...
engaging.
