About Me

David Rowan started playing clarinet at age 8. He said he sucked at it, then he heard, The Beatles, Motown and The Beach Boys,Donavan, and the Doors,etc...," like most people", then Dudley's piano, his nieghbor's house. Played in 'make believe' bands, in his basement with a huge fireplace, at ages 9,&10, like, 'The Termites' 'The Vagabonds' etc... Then, "we burned or cardboard keyboard and we burned our fake guitars,... cause we had an amazing fireplace". Then David found a copy of 'Mel Bay's Book One'. The rest is history,'that's a joke!" he said. Next David found, a Classical Guitar, and alto recorders that sat on top of 'The Dudley's Upright piano'. He took up French Horn, the teacher told him to switch to Trumpet(he sucked at that too). Hurt his feelings(again) and found the 'Bass Guitar'. 4strings, easy? RIGHT.!!! NO!!!/YES?!!! he said!!!?!!!. His imagination took him places he thought he'd never go. Unknown at the time, "it was scary yet cool". He started his journey. Went north and south, east and west, to' & fro', come hither & thither. He felt himself a late bloomer, writing his first song at the ripe old age of thirteen, titled "Don't Be Afraid", with his guitar, not his actually, but with a guitar, "no name brands yet, "I wouldve remembered Gibson or Fender". That was a good thing. "I've wrote my first song". He thought it was natural fit, (guitar)considering his prior trama's in his childhood, that he says was"instrumentally challenged". "The guitar with piano, was a breath of fresh air" in David's early teens, and continues to do to this day. 'to be continued.... On the way are, the rest of our Wet Pet stories, you know, DougGrigsbyIII What can I say.??? My brother by/my choice. Bass Player Extraordinary, Larry Saklad 'the fastest fikngers in the East.. that are independently, unbelieveable. but not all the stories about "all the drummers". Once David returned to his home in Philadelphia, he'd made his mates reunion be, not out on the Town, but in the studio, any studio." To 1 Reunite, 2 Work, 3 Share the growth I found in London, in Ealing Common, in music, in power.!!!" Then came, David X, Exisdance, now "WET PET". Tune in. !!! To be continued...
