About Me


2007 Delaware Division of the Arts Fellowship Award winner,singer, songwriter, teacher, musical director and accompanist, Lori Citro fills many roles simultaneously. Director of Music for Daybreak United Methodist Church in Smyrna, where she plays in and sings with a praise band, she is also founder of the church’s monthly family-friendly coffeehouse for local musicians. An accomplished musician herself, she has played the piano since she was six and written music since the age of 10. She studied MIDI synthesis at the Center for Media Arts in New York City and majored in voice at Troy State University.Citro teaches private piano lessons as well as pre-school music and has served as director of music and accompanist for many area musical productions. In all, she has directed over 30 musicals. Since 1985, Citro has played and sung with a number of bands, including Columbia recording artists Bang! For the past two years, she has concentrated on her work as a solo vocalist, accompanying herself on the piano. Her songs have been played regularly on 93.7 WSTW Radio’s “Hometown Heroes,” Spain’s FameGames, North Carolina’s True North webcast, the Dallas-based Web site ‘Nette Radio , the Michigan based Webcast "Open Mike Cafe" and a Webcast for Pacific Songwriting Contest out of Australia.See more from Lori CitroCome visit my store on CafePress!
