"The music sounds like it came from their hearts and souls, and more importantly, it's played from theirhearts and souls. I've heard music from all around the world, but I've never heard anything like these guys."
-Clifford David Guitarist
Parliament"I went to see Julius C, who were awesome as usual. I know I've raved about them before, but I really can'tstress enough how awesome these guys are. They have so much energy when they perform and their music is so much fun. ..Andit shows their versatility as a group - that they can perform different kinds of music and therefore aren't boxed into onegenre. Seriously people, if you have the chance to see these guys perform, take it. They have so much fun on stage, justplaying around and getting into the music. They really love performing and it makes you love watching them."

This is where we're supposed to tell you all about ourselves and what we do. Well...we're gonna try to do this in a way that won't keep you here reading our bio for the next 2 hours, but bear with us, we're musicians and songwriters, not autobiographers.
Basically, Julius C has been a band for about four years. In that time, we've accomplished a lot, including self producing our EP, going on a tour to California, two trips to SXSW in Texas, playing showcases at CMJ in NYC and at Atlantis in Atlanta, GA, being named the best band in NYC by the Emergenza Music Competition, playing tons of shows around the east coast and even in Canada, playing summer camp tours three years and counting, and breaking down in our van 3 times.
We're really proud of everything we've accomplished, and appreciate every single person who's come to our show, bought a CD or T-shirt, and talked to us about life (whether it be in person or on the internet).
Now, you may be wondering, how is it that Julius C has been together for four years, but has only released one EP? Well, we've definitely had a lot of complications, including producing a short run of an EP that most of you have never heard that was recorded in December of 2004 and that never got released to the masses. We've also had a lot of artistic differences, being that the five of us come from such diverse musical backgrounds and tastes. In the past, these differences have led to compromise after compromise, and have made it a much longer process of writing music, and also an impossible task of recording music.
Fast forward to 2008... What we have decided is that we will no longer compromise any of our music to fit any expectations - not ours, not anyone else's - and we will take on the task of writing and recording as much as we possibly can. What you can expect to find from us in the near future, are recordings that capture our lives, our emotions, and our artistic ambitions.
Our myspace profile is an invitation to old fans, new fans, and people that we haven't yet met, to join us on our journey, and help us to stay inspired by listening to our music, and letting us know how it affects your life, or if it doesn't affect your life at all. We know that without people to listen to our music, we wouldn't have the ability to create it.
We realize that this bio is way longer than we meant it to be, but we really want everyone to know our story and start to become part of our lives. If you've made it this far, thanks for reading what was meant to be a paragraph, and hopefully we'll see you soon.
Rock Always,
Julius C
