About Me

I'm never sure what to write in the bio section. I would do some third person review on how my music transcends space and time, and how my voice sounds like an angel and my songs tear at your very soul... but that just seems wierd to me. Not to mention it's just not true! Heck, I can barely write in the first person!
I'm just a guy who likes penning the occasional tune and then playing my guitar. I grew up in South Jersey, and even though I live in PA now I still have New Jersey in my blood. (I'm still hoping for a cure...!) I feel lyrics are my strong point, as I'm not a great guitarist by any means. Nonetheless I get by, and luckily have some talented friends to help out, most notably my step-bro Don, who is a fantastic keyboard player and my best buddy Charlie, who plays a great guitar and has picked up a bass and mandolin to join me on my occasional forays onto the stage. I write about whatever happens to be bouncing around my head at the moment; sometimes sad stuff, sometimes happy, sometimes goofy, sometimes angry, and oftentimes making no sense whatsoever.
I really enjoy performing on the stage, even when I flub something. It's just a cool vibe, and when you can really get a song across to the crowd there is nothing like it. I enjoy open mics also, as I not only get to play but also hear other musicians do their thing.
So thats me and my music in a nutshell. I hope that you find something you enjoy in my songs, as thats what its all about. Hopefully as I get back into the swing of playing live again I'll get some more shows and you can come out and say hi.

The Fig wrap-up, a new show, and back to the name game.

The Fig show on May 31st was a hoot as always.  Mike D always puts together a hell of a show, and this was no exception.  He had a lineup of great bands (I really liked the Suitcases a lot), a guitar ...

Why there’s been no music for a while.

Well, as you can see there has been quite a lag since I've last posted any tunes.  This is for 2 main reasons. First, my son has been diagnosed with eosinophyllic esophagitus (I probably did not ...
