About Me

Paige Anderson has been playing guitar since 2003 and loves to play bluegrass music. Paige has a band with her family called the Anderson Family Bluegrass Band. The band consists of Mom (Christy) on bass, Dad (Mark) on banjo, Paige on the guitar, Aimee on the fiddle, Ethan on the mandolin, and their little sister Daisy who sings and is learning to play the Fiddle.

In October of 2005 Paige and Aimee were asked to be in IBMA Kids on Bluegrass Program. The Family drove from Grass Valley CA, to Nashville TN to attend this fun event.

In September of 2006 Paige was asked to be in the special women's issue of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine, with Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, Rebeca Frazier, Kathy Barwick, Marcy Marxer and many more. Paige was interviewed and played the song Farewell Blues on the magazine's CD.

In early 2007 Paige and her family were featured on NPR's California Report Weekly Magazine Radio Show. Reporter Anna Sussman spent a day with the Andersons at their Grass Valley home back in August.

In early 2006, Paige learned how to play clawhammer banjo on her dad's first banjo. Paige now performs with an early 1900's vintage open back banjo.
