I was born in West Virginia when I was very young.
I was married twice;
divorced twice.
I have 3 daughters,
3 granddaughters, and
2 grandsons.
I retired in 2004, from a management position with Pepsi Cola, after 24 years of service.
My mother (now asleep in Jesus) taught me some piano chords when I was about age 9 and some guitar chords when I was about age 12. I picked up the banjo when I was about 15; started playing the upright bass in church when I was about 16. I've been with several groups. I have had the privilege to be in the opening acts for some of the major bluegrass groups in the country. Playing mostly in West Virginia, Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee, I have ventured out, picking the banjo on stages, as far away as Idaho, and Washington State. I've been with the "Midnight Ramblers String Band" since May of 2006, and I have enjoyed every minute of it.
