I used MyWackoSpace.com 's amazing MySpace Editor ."Half french, half spanish, he first listened to gospel from his mother, who played a Mahalia Jackson record that she brought from California back in the fifties. He familiarised with this music, and got into R&B, and Blues. Started with Elmore James, and then with late bluesmen. He didn’t pick up the guitar until the age of 17, exploring the different sounds of Blues and Jazz. He got his first guitar from a friend of his brother, an amateur guitar player who got sick of always playing the same thing. He gave him a black hard case...he thanked him, but he didn’t know there was a guitar inside. He studied for several months theatre and music at the Summer School of Arts and Languages at Winchester (Great Britain), where he enhanced his knowledge in acting and music. Back in Madrid he started playing in a Funk combo, for two years, where he wrote, arranged, played and sang. The title of his first record shows the goal. Learnin’, (Sweet Music Ltd.? 2001) and keep learning how it has te be done. A search for sound, and a reflect of live shows comes out of the album. Some guitar lessons with Stevie Zee, and time came to do his own thing, and assembled experienced musicians to do that project. By the time his first recording got released, he was already playing major festivals in Spain, sharing stage with Phil Guy, Franck Ash, Red House, Steve Big Man Clayton, Hideaway, Big Gilson, Richard Ray Farrell, and playing with Ñaco Goñi, Stevie Zee, Antonio Serrano, Ian Siegal, Greg Slapczinsky, Miguel M & the Brachay’s Blues Band. In September 2002 he moves to Belgium, where he experiences with african musicians, and plays festivals, moving up and down from Spain to Belgium, sitting in with W.C Handy Award Nominee, Ann Rabson, and with Baton Rouge bluesman, Kenny Neal. The Spanish Embassy calls him three times to tour the Former Republic of Yugoslavia (FRY). Now back in Spain, the new album is ready Steel the Blues, recorded live in Sonoland Studios, and produced by Francisco Simón. Lauren P. Stradmann is in charge of the drums, an also young but experienced drummer that gives his own personality and sound to the band. He appears with Red House, and plays with several professional bands around the country. Paul Larnaudie, on bass, who gives a very blues sound, has developed an on-the-job training playing in Blues bands. Cope Gutiérrez is currently the keyboardist, a very demanded keyboard player in Spain. Algerian Red Hamani gives the funky sound with his hands on the album, and in the live shows. A guitar player not to be missed also. Blues, groove and beyond is what Gaby Jogeix Band has spread in his tours. His powerful and percussive guitar style, but fine and smooth at the same time, contours his show, creating ambience and states of mind with a well structured repertoire, and a great showmanship. Pay special attention to his lap steel guitar work, he may burn down the house. De vuelta a Madrid, empieza a tocar en un combo de Funk, donde arregla, toca, canta y compone. Tras unas clases de guitarra con Juan Vadillo, y Stevie Zee, se lanza a la piscina y comienza a grabar. Tras publicar su primer disco, “Learnin’” (Sweet Music. 2001), continúa puliendo su sonido en directo. Para entonces ya toca habitualmente con Ñaco Goñi, Stevie Zee, Francisco Simón, Antonio Serrano, Ian Siegal o Greg Slapczinsky... y compartiendo escenario con Raimundo Amador, Phil Guy, Franck Ash, Red House, Steve Big Man Clayton, Hideaway, Big Gilson o Keith Dunn, entre otros...En septiembre del 2002 parte hacia Bélgica, donde amplia sus nociones rítmicas con músicos africanos, y a su vuelta a España colabora con Ann Rabson -nominada al prestigioso galardón W.C Handy Awards, y con el bluesman de Baton Rouge (EE.UU), Kenny Neal. Acompaña a Miguel M Group y a Amar Sundy en sus giras por España. La Embajada Española le llama para realizar tres giras por los Balcanes, y una serie de conciertos y master class en Cuba.
