JUAN BOURBON, JUAN SCOTCH & JUAN BEER

Juan Bourbon, Juan Scotch & Juan Beer es una banda de Rythm & Blues, Swing y Blues afincada en Madrid, ciudad donde son un referente de la nueva generación del Blues. Desde finales 2002 dirigen la Juan Bourbon, Juan Scotch & Juan Beer Blues Jam Session del Prestigioso local capitalino MOE, donde han tenido el gusto de ser acompañados por numerosas figuras del panorama nacional e internacional (Buddy Miles, Paul Orta,...)En Mayo de 2006 editaron su disco: Juan Bourbon, Juan Scotch & Juan Beer con Diego Gutiérrez a la batería, el cuál presentaron con una extensa gira de mas de 70 shows pasando por Bélgica (Warande Bluesin’ Nigth in Tournhout), Festival Internacional de Blues de Cazorla (donde compartieron cartel con Fabulous Thunderbirds, Little Charlie & the Nigthcats,..etc), y gran número de ciudades a lo largo y ancho de la Península Ibérica. En 2007 continúan girando en España y Europa presentando su disco hasta finales del verano, momento en el que volverán a meterse en estudio para grabar su segundo álbum.El origen de la banda data de la coincidencia de Quique Gómez (Juan Beer) y Curro Serrano (Juan Bourbon / Artrosis Guitar) en el mismo instituto allá por el año 1992, aunque no sería hasta años más tarde cuando se juntarían con Diego de la Torre (Juan Scotch) para empezar a tocar, ya bajo el nombre de Juan Bourbon, Juan Scotch & Juan Beer (año 1999). Desde finales del 2004 y después de algún que otro cambio de formación, la banda adquirió el sonido Boggie-Swing-Blues que desde entonces no ha abandonado.La formación, es un cuarteto de Blues de Chicago donde los “Juanes” se unen a un batería.Quique Gómez aka Juan Beer (Armónica y Voz): es un enamorado de Little Walter y de su banda, The Aces , aunque sus influencias son muy extensas desde que allá por 1995 descubriera a Sonny Boy Williamson. Declara abiertamente su predilección por Charlie Parker . Curro Serrano aka Juan Bourbon, Artrosis Guitar (Guitarra): T-Bone Walker es sin lugar a dudas su inspiración, junto a otros muchos como Robert “Jr” Loockwood. Es uno de los guitarristas más finos del país. Ataca, con su Epihone, con su Telecaster o con su Strato, cuando se le arrincona. Armonía poderosa y muy rica insustituible en este cuarteto. Diego de la Torre aka Juan Scotch (Bajo / Contrabajo): uno de los pocos bajistas de Blues que hay en España y heredero Dixoniano directo. Su Hohner tuneado es la risa del Mundo entero...hasta que oyen ese sonido negro y ronco que aprieta las tuercas al más pintado.......................................TRANSLATION... ...................................... Juan Bourbon, Juan Scotch & Juan Beer is a Rythm & Blues, Swing and Blues band based in Madrid, city in wich they are a referent to a new Blues generation. Since the end of 2002 they run Juan Bourbon, Juan Scotch & Juan Beer Blues Jam Session at the prestigious MOE, in the heart of the city. They have, at this session, enjoyed the company of many national and international musitians (Buddy Miles, Paul Orta,…). In May 2006 they realesed their first Album: Juan Bourbon, Juan Scotch & Juan Beer with Diego Gutierrez at the drums. The CD was presented during a huge tour (over 70 shows). Amongst other places they played at Brussels (Warande Bluesin´Night-Tournhout) and Carzorla´s Internacional Blues Festival (where they shared show with Fabulous Thunderbirds, Little Charlie & the Nightcats,…) and many other cities all over the iberian peninsule. In 2007 they will still be touring Spain and Europe presenting their album but they will go back to the studio to record their second CD at the end of summer.The origin of the band is dated in 1992, year in wich Quique Gómez (Juan Beer) and Curro Serrano (Juan Bourbon/Artrosis Guitar) met at high school. It was not until a few years later that they met Diego de la Torre (Juan Scotch) and they started playing together as Juan Bourbon, Juan Scotch & Juan Beer (1999). Since the end of 2004 and after a few changes, the band adopted a Boggie-Swing-Blues rythm they´ve never relinquish.The band is a Chicago Blues quartet with three Juanes plus a drummer. Quique Gómez aka Juan Beer (Harp & Voice): Little Walter and his band, The Aces, lover. Although his influences are divers since he discovered Sonny boy Williamson in 1995. He openly declares his favourite is Charlie Parker. Curro Serrano aka Juan Bourbon, Artrosis Guitar (Guitar): T-Bone Walter is, no doubt, his inspiration, amongst many others such as Robert “Jr” Loockwood. One of the finest guitar players in Spain.
