About Me
he started playing the guitar in 1992 and became a blues freak, inspired by the deep sound of the 50s and 60s masters.
in 1997 he began a full-time collaboration with the bass player/singer Max Jr. Pitta Pitardi in the band JR. PITTA & JUNGLEBEAT. they recorded an album (Blue Jungle, 1998) and played in clubs and festivals throughout Italy, also opening for Louisiana Red, Corey Harris, Robben Ford, etc.
from 2001 to 2004 he has also played with the all-instrumental surf band THE FARAONS.
in 2002 he started playing with MARCO PANDOLFI & THE JACKNIVES . they recorded two cds, Step Back Baby in 2004 (top seller cd at International Blues Challenge 2006) and Too Many Ways in 2006, and played clubs and festivals in Italy, France, Switzerland, U.S.A (Memphis, Clarksdale).
during these years he had the opportunity to learn the blues firsthand backing up players such as LYNWOOD SLIM, PAUL OSCHER, MARK HUMMEL, RICHARD RAY FARRELL, DAVID LEE DURHAM, MICHAEL PELOQUIN, J.MONQUE D. he visited many times the US, where he had the chance to play with Steve Guyger, Bob Margolin, R.J. Mischo, James Wheeler, Stephen Hodges, John Bazz, Nick Moss, Janiva Magness, etc...
