Vera Kooper (1988) started playing the piano at the age of six. At thirteen she was admitted to the young talent class of the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where she studied with Kamilla Bystrova. In 2004 she was prizewinner at the International Steinway Competition and represented the Netherlands in a galaconcert at the International Steinway Festival in the Musikhalle, Hamburg.
In 2005 she won first prize at the IPMC young musicians competition.
She gave concerts in the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, De Doelen Rotterdam, among many other venues in The Netherlands and abroad. In 2007 she won first prize and extra prizes at the Prinses Christina Competition, Rotterdam and weeks later she got second prize in the National Competition. In the summer of 2007 she participated in the prestigious Musica Mundi chamber music festival and course in Brussels, Belgium. Last september Vera gave a series of concerts in Denmark and Greenland at the invitation of the Dutch Embassy. Vera recieved masterclasses from Marylin Engle, Ruth Nye, Vitaly Samoshko and Itamar Golan and is currently studying with David Kuyken.
