Since her debut in September 2005, Citlalli Guevara is currently one of the most successful young pianists in Mexico, having an intense activity as soloist, she has toured Mexico appearing with virtually all the country's top orchestras, including Xalapa Symphony Orchestra, State of Mexico Symphony Orchestra, Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra, Aguascalientes Symphony Orchestra, Tamaulipas Symphony Orchestra and San Luis Potosi Symphony Orchestra under conductors Enrique Bátiz, José Luis Castillo, Gabriela Diaz-Alatriste, José Miramontes Zapata and Armando Pesqueira; besides recitals at the most important music halls in Mexico, La Havana, Cuba, New York and as a frecuent artist in the Junio Musical International Festival.
First Prize Winner at the IV International Piano Competition 2006 (Mexicali, Mexico), 2nd Prize at the I National Piano Competition (Mexico, 1996) and Honorific Mention at the III National Piano Competition for young performers (Guanajuato, Mexico, 1995), Ms. Guevara has been awarded with the Fulbright grant, the National Fund for the Culture and Arts grant, Cultural Institute of Veracruz Scholarship, the Statal Fund for the Culture and Arts Scholarship, the Azteca Foundation special award and the honorific award from the Governor of Veracruz.
In October 2005, she was appointed as Recitalist of the University of Veracruz and was recently awarded with a performance grant by the National Fund for the Culture and Arts 2006-2007.
Citlalli Guevara holds a Master in Music, piano performance Degree from the Manhattan School of Music, where she was student of legendary Russian pianist Nina Svetlanova and a Bachelor in Arts, piano performance Degree by the University of Veracruz where she was student of Mexican pianist Laura Sosa and Alejandro Corona; She also attended master classes from Oleg Maisenberg, Jorge Luis Prats, Pascal Rogé, Jorge Federico Osorio, Edith Picht Axenfeld and Bernard Flavigny.
