About Me

Me was born in Buenos Aires in 1972. As a graduate of the 2nd phase study of composition in the Utrecht conservatory, I've worked both as a composer and as an arranger for different ensembles and projects.
During my composition studies I have also studied electric (jazz) guitar with Eef Albers. Apart from making music I have also fullfilled my curiosity by studying Spanish (language and culture) in the university of Amsterdam, and I later made the preparatory course for International Relations.
My studies were extended in order to follow conducting courses for symphonic and fanfare bands.
I had the honour of following workshops in composition and conducting with - amongst others - Krzysztof Penderecki and Jurjen Hempel.
I have been conducting choirs and small ensembles since 2000 and I was also active outside the school writting for different ensembles for many occasions and festivals for contemporary music. Among the ensembles are the Ricciotti ensemble, the Frysk Fanfare Orchestra, the Utrecht Flute Quartet, the Kwivr brass quintet, ensemble Wervelwind, Buffo Operamakers, ensemble Colours and many more.
A few of my pieces are published under DMP (Dutch Music Partners) and Red Frog Music (as from June 2006). Next year my piece 'Jorge Knows' will be recorded by the Frysk Fanfare orchestra and published on cd and as a score by Bronsheim music publishers.
If you also like alternative rock indie stuff, you might be interested to visit another 'My Space' site of my band, Modest Midget .
I hope you like what you hear.
