I was born in Catania, Italy. I started playing guitar at age15. In 1974 I was offered a gig in Tokyo. I took it! I was playing with a seven piece band named Casanova Sette, a jazz/r&b/pop group.
After Japan we went to Guam for six months. Then we toured the USA and Canada. Back in Japan, here in ‘76 the band broke up.
I went back to Guam playing with the Roberto Fracassini’s Band, a jazz/dance/pop sextet.
In 1980 I moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. Here I played with Blind Date a rock/country/pop band. The group started as a trio, we ended up as a quintet. Here I enrolled in seminars with masters like Peter Sprague, Gene Bartoncini, Barney Kessell, and Herb Hellis. In ’85 the band moved to Nevada. We played all over the state, sometimes we stretched out to Oregon and Washington State.
The group broke up in ’86 and I moved to Portland, Oregon. Here I played with a funk/ pop/dance band named The Toys. We played in the most reputable clubs and hotels in the area.
But Hawaii was calling again. I moved to Maui in March 1989. The best move that I’ve made! Ever!
Here, I’m living happily married, with Harumi, and raising a child, Aja.
Still playing and living to the fullest.
As a musician, I must thank all the great player that I’ve played with, that knowingly or unknowingly taught me a lot about music and life in general.
