A Smile Costs Nothing ~ Music Makes Me Smile

About Me

I play Jazz Blues and Folk Bass with anyone who'll have me and was fortunate to have been in the origional lineup of 'The Smoking Stone Band'.
Right now I am busy with 'Shoot the Piper' recording the 'debut' album which has been 15 years in the making! See what you think at www.myspace.com/shootthepiper
I also play Jazz with the 'Tony Leigh Trio' and Blues/Rock with a new band Ive been rehearsing with called 'BLUE ROOSTER'. Check us out at www.myspace.com/blueroosterblues.
When I'm not doing my day job which allows me to play without worry, I do session work and freelance recording and teach Bass at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. When I'm not playing I stay involved with music by working as sound assisstant for concerts and shows in company with 'Big G' the Main Man Sound Engineer and provide Stage Management Services for Festivals and Concerts.
I have been lucky enough to have played with The Smoking Stone Band, Wolfstone, The Boat band, Hom Bru, The White Hare Band, Michael Marra, Harris Playfair, Craobh Rua, Ray Moore, Big Jim Sutherland and Luminecent Orchestri, to mention but a few.
New Tracks on MySpace Player Features Frank Keenan's (also of Shoot the Piper) New Album
'Trick of the Light'
from which Ive chosen 'The Haven' and a Live recording from Shoot the Piper's Gable End Theatre performance on Hoy in 2006. Franks CD is available to buy and enjoy from the following URL:
