’BLUE ROOSTER" is a three piece band consisting of Drums, Bass and Guitar and have only been rehearsing for the past few months with the aim to play Blues and Blues Rock music. They share the same love of Blues and Rock music and are all very experienced musicians. Their sound is full and rich thanks to their brilliant sound engineer Graham (’Big G’) and has been mistaken for a five or four peice band. The Band’s common goal is to be the best they can be and take their music out there for everybody to enjoy.

"...for an experience of quick paced Blues Rock, the crowd moved to the Stromness Hotel to hear new local band ’BLUE ROOSTER’. Their debut performance was anticpated by an excited crowd, already familiar with established musicians Ian Cooper on Guitar and vocals, John Adams on Bass and Pete Phillips on Drums...
All three had an Awsome Stage Presence and entertaind the crowd well, especially John Adams, who clearly enjoyed performing and addressed the crowds with ease.
The Great sound that came from just three musicians was impressive, as was the rhythm and beats being smashed out by drummer Pete Phillips.
Ian Cooper further wowed those watching with his relentless Guitar solos...Orkney’s own Jimi Hendrix!
This was a brilliant debut performance by Orkney’s New Band.
