About Live and Unsigned

Live and Unsigned is a National music competition for Unsigned Bands, vocal groups and singers to perform Live and includes an under 18 age category. Live and Unsigned is a competition that not only finds talent, but to give opportunities and exposure. The competition offers the competitors the opportunity to perform live to large audiences and development throughout as the competition progresses if competitors so wish. The latter stages of the competition provide competitors with the opportunity to impress the judges and many guests from record labels, agencies and the entertainment industry.
The competition is open to under 18’s, your age on the 31st January 2008 will determine your age category. Groups and bands with members in both age categories enter the age category that the majority of members of the group or band are in. Under 18’s the minimum age is 5 and those who are under 16 will have to be accompanied by an adult.
The difference with Live and Unsigned is that the acts taking part are encouraged to do their own thing; be individual, original, perform their own genre and style Live. The competition’s aim is to find potential recording artists. With over 10,000 registrations in 2007 it is the biggest music talent search outside a certain ITV show.

Enter Live & Unsigned 2008 to be the best Under 18; female solo artist, best male artist, best vocal group or the best UK Under 18 Live & Unsigned band of 2008.

QUOTES:

Brian Harvey lead man of East 17 "This competition is the only competition I know that is an outlet for proper artists to perform their own thing. Urban, pop or rock it's about exposing talent, letting them express themselves on stage and making things happen for these artists."

Liz McClarnon ex Atomic Kitten, solo artist in her own right and presented at the Live and Unsigned National Final‚ "Some of these acts have knocked me sideways, this Competition gives this talent the rightful exposure like no other Competition."

Dane Bowerswho anchored the R&B quartet Another Level, Judged and performed at the Live and Unsigned National Final‚"Some amazing acts and some real great talent. This competition gives everyone a great opportunity to show what they can do. The only way to see if you're any good! Because if your mum says your great, you think your great but here there are a few more to impress."
