Natalie Hall

About Me

Natalie Hall is a new contemporary country artist from Southampton. Her music is piano led pop with a contemporary country influence.
Recently featured on BBC Radio Solent’s Sally Taylor Show, Natalie is currently writing new material for her upcoming debut album and finding her performance feet on the South Coast music circuit with her band. “When I finish a gig, I look back and realise just how much I love performing my music. It’s such an adrenaline rush” says Natalie.

Natalie’s passion for music started at the age of seven, with her first piano lesson. Having sung throughout her childhood, her piano teacher soon discovered her vocal talent and encouraged her to train professionally. She performed publically for the first time aged 13 at the Southampton Music Festival. Natalie wrote her first song at this time, having been inspired by a variety of artists including The Corrs, Beverley Craven, Delta Goodrem, The Carpenters and Glen Campbell.
Passionate about country music from a young age, Natalie was keen to infuse her own style with the genre “Every time I listen to country or folk music it sends shivers down my spine. I remember the first time I listened to Keith Urban, I thought to myself ‘I love this’. His songs are so catchy and the lyrics are full of such emotion and meaning. I also find him inspiring as he is a successful non-American country artist”.
In 2008, Natalie’s talent was discovered by management company Landed Music LTD. and in October 2009 she recorded her debut single ‘Say [To me]’ with platinum selling Rick Parkhouse at Red Triangle Productions.
Natalie has been performing live with her band since February 2010. Her band consists of professional and experienced musicians who have toured with artists such as Feeder, Jamiroqui, Turin Brakes, Chesney Hawkes, Mungo Jerry and Steve Rushton. “My band really brings my music to life” she says, “they are truly great musicians and I love working with them”.
As well as the large, energetic sound that the band brings to the music, they also enjoy stripping the songs back on occasion for more intimate, organic sounding sets. Natalie says “I like to be versatile in my performances and sometimes present my music acoustically, where I can really use my voice delicately as an instrument”.
On her future, Natalie enthuses “I am excited to be co-writing with other musicians and continuing to widen my song writing ability. Music is my true passion; there is nothing I enjoy more than making music”.
