HELIA [NEW SONGS UP!]

[IT] Dalla voglia di sperimentare nuove sonorità da parte di Jackie (membro dei Violent Sutura, ex On Fall), RaeL (ex vocalist della screamo band I’m not myself today), Commo (ex chitarrista di ibelievein e In deepest decline) e Dano (ex componente di In deepest decline) nasce il progetto HELIA nell’estate 2007. A ottobre 2007 vede la luce il primo lavoro della band, “The Delorean EP”, un mini cd che rende subito chiari gli intenti dei 4 ragazzi. Il sound della band prende come punto di partenza il mix tra screamo ed elettronica, ma si caratterizza subito per la forte presenza dell’influenza disco-trance all’interno dei pezzi. “Memory Flash”, la prima canzone estratta dall’Ep e messa su myspace ha centinaia di ascolti al giorno. All’inizio del 2008 entra a far parte della band alla batteria Ricky (Violent Sutura) e la line up si completa. Con questa formazione gli Helia affrontano la loro prima estate di live shows in giro per l’Italia. Ad agosto 2008 la band entra in studio a Roma per registrare due nuove canzoni, "Straight to north east lights" e "Push it!". Quest'ultima vede la partecipazione straordinaria di Becko degli Hopes Die Last. Adesso puoi sentirle qui su myspace! A presto ragazzi!Stay Trance.
[EN] Helia project starts in the summer of 2007 from the passion for new and sperimental sounds of Jackie (member of Violent Sutura, ex On Fall), RaeL (ex singer of the underground screamo band I’m not myself today), Commo (ex guitarist of Ibelievein) and Dano (In Deepest Decline’s ex bass player). The first Helia’s release “Delorean” is an EP that takes inspiration from trance music and screamo hc. “Memory Flash”, the first single uploaded on MySpace has a great success with more than 60’000 plays. In February 2008 Ricky joined Helia on drums. With this line up the band plays live around Italy in the Summer '08 and has a great success. In August '08 the band enter in studio in Rome to record 2 new tracks, "Straight To North East Lights" and "Push it!" (feat. Becko from Hopes Die Last).
