VozUrbana

VozUrbana´s work is oriented to the encounter and fusion of different popular music currents. Our first resource is Latin American music: getting from it, the structure, rhythms, and every member’s personal experiences. Besides, we add different elements coming from Afro, rock, Caribbean music, classical music, etc. With this, as a whole, we are looking forward to express day-to-day situations that happen around the world.The group starts its musical activity in 2005. We began this adventure; basically, as a reunion of friends who got together to play the music they love. As the time passed, the meetings became more serious and, at that point of the road, we decided to look for a new musical proposal by experimenting with different “sounds”. Some months later, by February of 2006 we would consolidate as a group giving us the name of VozUrbana.From our first presentation in January of 2007 to the preparation to the last concert in December (the same year) and the international projection for 2008, VozUrbana has wanted to show a new and different option to the groups that belong to this contemporary musical field. We have a fresh and full of day-to-day experiences proposal in which we sing to love, to the gone, to the loneliness, and even to social justice.VozUrbana’s musical work is becoming a reality through the preparation of our new independent phonographic record, that has been being recorded from the middle of 2007 and it is being expected for the beginning of 2008
