Onion Bearers

LOVE THE TASTE OF THAT NATIONAL BEER!

About Me

Whudaya' mean, you never heard of Onion Bearers?!?!
Well, unfortunately, you're not the only one. But they're one of the great lost bands of the post-punk-nowave mid-'80's. A few of the members went on to greener and greater pastures. Lead guitarist Matthew Odietus has since made his name with the infamously fabulous Candy Snatchers and Gary Z. became the lead singer with Norfolk legends Antic Hay, along with drummer Howard Swartz. Guitarist/vocalist Steve Boocks is now known not for his voice but for his palate --he's a well regarded wine taster for a national chain of wine emporiums (but he still enjoys the occasional Natty Boh!)! And Kathy "Meat" Meehan, following in the footsteps of her hero Exene Cervenka, is a nationally recognized librarian!
20 years on, those who were there still talk in hushed tones about amazing live shows and a fabled recording session. Now it's your turn. Take a listen to the finally unearthed "Rosaer Tapes" and see what you missed. It's not too late!
Love the taste of those Onion Bearers!
