The Wipper Brothers

Clutterin' Up The Inventory

About Me

If you've never heard of The Wipper Brothers, you're not the only one. But to a few insiders (or those lucky enough to be "in the know"), Jimmy and Danny Wipper are revered as legendary practioners of the long lost art of telephone prankery. And in those golden years of true telephone artistry, long before *69, widespread Fed phone tapping, and Guantanamo threats, these guys lit up switchboards in ways that A.G. Bell never fathomed.
Back then, if you were fortunate enough to know someone, or know someone who knew someone, maybe you were able to scrounge up an elusive copy of what became known as the CLUTTERIN' UP THE INVENTORY tapes, aka--the Best of the Wippers. Or maybe in the years since, you've heard a snippet here or there on the airwaves (in fact, the celebrated WFMU has been featuring the Wipper Brothers for years).
If not, now it's your chance. Gloriously transferred into ones and zeros, direct from the "master tapes"--here are a few classic Wippers, including the LEGENDARY(and originally thought to be apocryphal) prank of MR. T (yes, THAT Mr. T) better known as Sunday Mornin' T.
There are plenty more where these came from. Inventories will be cluttered up!
