At the end of 2006 the band Hocksaw decided to split up after a couple of years due to the different musical tastes. The guitarist Fabry joined the gothic rock band
Tearsfall while the other three members started from the scratch a new project called Agony Way (composed by Diego on vocals, Paolo on bass/backing vocals and Andrea aka Mario Rossi on drums) writing songs since the first day of rehearsals. Even without a guitarist, in May 2007 they booked some days at Sub Mix Pro Studio (see Soundlok ) with the aim of recording their five best songs for an EP called “Warning Agony Way“ (the guitars were recorded by Paolo). Just a week after the realisation of the cd they found the fourth member Umberto as guitar player, who gave the band a stronger punk rock style and the possibility of starting with their first shows.

Gli Agony Way nascono a Torino nel novembre del 2006 con la voglia di creare canzoni proprie dopo anni di esperienza maturata in sala prove suonando cover con gli amici.
Il gruppo (formato da Diego alla voce, Paolo al basso/cori e Andrea aka Mario Rossi alla batteria) inizia subito a scrivere i primi pezzi già durante le prime prove. Dopo qualche mese anche in mancanza di un chitarrista i tre decidono di entrare in studio (sia il basso che le chitarre sono registrate da Paolo) registrando i 5 brani che vanno a comporre il primo EP autoprodotto intitolato semplicemente “Warning Agony Way†(vecchio nome).
Subito una settimana dopo la registrazione del demo al Sub Mix Pro Studio di Torino (nel maggio 2007) la formazione si completa definitivamente con l’ingresso di Umberto alla chitarra.
E’ da questo momento che gli Agony Way iniziano un’intensa attività live, esibendosi fin da subito in molte occasioni e regalando i cd a chiunque sia interessato.
I cd sono 350, tutti numerati a mano; anche il libretto di 6 pagine è fotocopiato, piegato e ritagliato a mano.
